About FoodBankLocator.org
FoodBankLocator.org is a free directory of food assistance resources across all 50 United States. It lists USDA SNAP-authorized retailers (grocery stores, supermarkets, farmers markets) and the Feeding America member food banks serving each county, plus guides to the main food assistance programs. Our mission is to help individuals and families find food help in their communities.
Our Data Sources
We source our location data from the USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) SNAP retailer database, which contains information on authorized SNAP retailers nationwide. Food bank information comes from the Feeding America member food bank directory, and state SNAP agency contacts come from the USDA state directory.
A full description of each dataset, its retrieval date, what we do not know and how to report an error is on our Data Sources and Methodology page. Our guides explain how the main food assistance programs work.
Our SNAP income limits and maximum benefit amounts are taken from the official USDA SNAP eligibility page for Oct. 1, 2026 - Sept. 30, 2027.
